Creative Art Workshop :
Ages 4-7. Wednesdays 4:45-5:45.
Children will be taught a variety of mediums to help them start with their art background. We will cover clay hand building, watercolor painting, printmaking and more. Through Art they will start to get used to the classroom experience to help make their early childhood years fun and full o fdevelopment. As in the Art Experiences Class, we will focus more on the newness of the process, rather than the end product.
Art Experiences Workshop :
Ages 8-12. Wed. 6:00-7:30pm / Sat. 10:00-11:30am.
Children will learn a general background of Art skills that hopefully keep their curiosity peeked and open to new and challenging ideas. We will experiment with clay building, painting, some crafts, sculpture, and more. Each week we will cover a different medium to learn and experiment with. Our focus is more on the process than the end product. Students will also study an overview of different artists, past and present to help them understand the Art world around them.
Intro to Art :
Ages Teen and Adult. Wednesdays 7:30 - 9:00 pm.
Each week we will look at different artists and seek their inspiration to help us with our own work. We will focus on a variety of medium; mostly paitning and sculpture. Curriculum may be altered to suit the interests of those enrolled.
Art in the Theater :
All Ages. Mondays 7:00 - 8:00pm.
The main focus of this class will be to integrate the worlds of Art and Theater. Each week we will study Art in the Theater, learning about costume and set design, props, and the language of the theater, as well as prepare for the end of the year performance. We will learn about the behind the scenes as we work together as a team collecting our props, working on the set design, and preparing for the show.
Please note: All Carousel students are encouraged to participate in this class to help enhance their knowledge of the Theater.
